Theresa Brennan, M.D.
Assistant Professor

After completing her residency in Internal Medicine and Cardiology fellowship at The University of Iowa (including service as Chief Resident and Chief Fellow), Teri completed a year of advanced training in Interventional Cardiology. She joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor in July. Teri accepted an appointment as Medical Director of Ul's Heart Care Inpatient Units in August.

Teri's primary clinical interests are interventional cardiology and vascular medicine. In addition to her cath lab duties, she attends in the CVICU. Widely regarded as a superb clinician and teacher, during Teri's training she became well known and highly respected by members of the inpatient nursing staff.

Teri and her husband, Greg, have 2 children: Zachary and Victoria.

Barry Cabuay, M.D.
Associate

In 1996 Dr. Cabuay earned his M.D from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where he also completed his internal medicine internship and residency. He has completed two years of cardiology fellowship, and has been appointed an Associate for the 2001-2002 academic year.

Barry serves as attending staff for the inpatient and outpatient heart failure services.

Craig Clark, D.O.
Associate

After earning his D.O. in 1995 from the University of Osteopathic Medicine & Health Sciences in Des Moines, Craig completed his internal medicine residency at UI-Des Moines in 1998. Craig was a fellow here from 1998-2001, including service as Chief Fellow from 2000-2001. He joined our faculty as an Associate in July.

Dr. Clark is obtaining advanced research training with Dr. Gary Rosenthal, through the VA. His research focuses on clinical outcomes. Craig serves as attending staff in echocardiography and outpatient clinic.

Craig and his wife, Jane, have 4 children: Angela, Brenna, Christine, Bailey.
