I apologize for these in advance, simply because they're both hopelessly visually oriented and non-accessible. However, they are two of my favorite sites:
What Is The Matrix? (regular version) ... this is one of my favorite movies; can't wait for the sequel. But unlike most "official" sites, which are usually quite lame, this one includes a kicker comic section.
At the Macromedia Shockwave site, follow the links to Tim Burton's Stainboy comic strip. (See a picture of the little fella on the left.) The presentation is deceptively simple, but the concept itself is quite sophisticated, very well executed and hilariously sick! There are lots of campy downloads, too.
New episodes every 2 weeks!
As someone who's had several OBEs (out of body experiences), I've become fascinated with the topic of remote viewing. What is purported to be the Army Intelligence Remote Viewing Training Manual is what I consider one of the essential resources on the subject.
These are some of the better font resources I've found on the Internet:
PCFonts.com - Has links to thousands of free fonts
FreePCFonts.com - A "top ten" free font sites
A Font Flood - Thousands of free and shareware fonts - One of my favorites for presentation and organization!
Free fonts from Rotodesign.com - Some of the more original and funkier fonts around
Larabie Fonts - Some of the bolder free fonts available
Bullfinch's Mythology in three volumes.
Bartleby.com ... A complete reference library in one web site. One of my favorites!
And speaking of Bartleby, one of my favorite stories of all time is "Bartleby the Scrivener" by Herman Melville. I guarantee it's worth reading.
Belinus Press's Celtic Folklore site. This site includes links to the complete tales of the Mabinogion, a mythology I've loved since my teens.
How Stuff Works is a great way to expand your knowledge of technology.
When you have some serious writing to do, the Paradigm Online Writing Assistant is a great resource. It includes tips and techniques on writing, editing and revising essays, theses, and documenting sources.
