For scary, October thirty-first can't be beat,
You must have been tricked, for this is no treat
You went out expecting treats, but here's a good rule of thumb.
Don't! You just got tricks and one piece of gum!
When you dress up as a pumpkin, here's what you must understand,
You don't feel very brave, and end up holding someone's hand.
All and all, though getting candy may be fun,
Maybe if it was during daylight, it would be better for everyone.
If you are not very brave, but you have a sweet tooth too,
Maybe Christmas and Easter are better holidays for you.
So if you like being scared, and getting candy from everyone,
Maybe, just maybe, Halloween might be fun.
